In an effort to offer innovative yet environmentally friendly, ‘green’ products that also reduce the costs of packaging and freight, CPC presents the Responsible Binder with removable ring metal, allowing consumers to build their own presentation binder by matching ring metal sizes and styles to quality, clear overlay or standard board turned-edge binder flats.

The Responsible Binder metal, with its Quick Release feature, allows consumers to easily separate it from the binder flat and recycle all components. With this green concept binder, the flats and metals can now be inter-changed, re-used or recycled by simply popping out the metal and separating the plastic from the paper board.

The Responsible Binder also benefits retailers by reducing SKUs, thus saving them money in reduced packaging materials, freight, and dedicated shelf space. This frees up valuable retail shelf space for other, more profitable lines of retail goods.

The Responsible Binder metal reduces packaging and freight costs by maximizing product shipped per cubic square foot. Riveted binders cause excessive air to be shipped when distributing product to stores. The Responsible Binder concept eliminates over 40% of the open space sacrificed during shipping, thus delivering more product and less air on each skid, another example of the commitment to a ‘green’ product.

After use, the Responsible Binder metal can be placed into a filing system and used in standard hanging file drawers (up to 1.5”). After removing the metal from the binder flat, simply expand the clips on each end and place the metal in the file drawer. The back side of the metal can be used to label documents.

The Responsible Binder ring metals can be used on vinyl, polypropylene, turned-edge and polyethylene binder products. Classic Plastics’ green binder line includes quality clear overlay binders and turned-edge board products designed to maximize the performance capabilities of the ring metal.
