Product FAQs

A mortuary coverall is designed for targeted mid-body protection. While a unionall covers the entire body from the neck down to the enclosed feet, a coverall acts like a strapless torso suit. It extends from the upper chest area down to the upper thighs. This layout makes it highly efficient for managing localized fluid leaks, autopsied torsos, or abdominal trauma without needing to dress the decedent’s arms or lower legs.

Fluid containment relies on precise mechanical anchoring. Classic Plastics designs these coveralls with resilient elastic banding built into three distinct points:

  • One high-tension elastic band around the top chest area to prevent downward slippage.

  • Individual elastic bands terminating at the mid-thigh on both legs.

This strategic placement creates a secure, gathered fit against the skin, forming an tight barrier that keeps cavity fluids, edema, or embalming powders isolated inside the garment.

For clean cremation processing, you must select the Premium Opaque Polyolefin option rather than standard vinyl. Standard vinyl is made of PVC, which releases toxic chlorine gas and harmful dioxins when exposed to high heat, causing damage to crematory retorts.

The Premium Polyolefin material is completely chlorine-free and eco-friendly. It complies fully with environmental clean-air rules, incinerating entirely without releasing corrosive emissions or leaving sticky residues behind on the hearth.

The two material lines differ significantly in thickness, strength, and behavioral performance under formal viewing garments:

  • Standard Vinyl: Available in clear or white configurations, this is an economical choice manufactured at an 8 mil thickness. It provides excellent puncture resistance but can produce a distinct, plastic crinkling noise if the decedent is moved or adjusted during a wake.

  • Premium Polyolefin: Engineered at a specialized 6 mil thickness, this proprietary “soft touch” fabric features a quiet, matte finish that eliminates rustling sounds under clothing. Despite being thinner, the molecular construction makes it three times tougher than standard vinyl, making it nearly impossible to rip or puncture with autopsy needles or exposed bone fragments.

For prep room buyers, procurement managers, and independent mortuary distributors managing ongoing backstocks:

  • Available Sizes: Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, and XX-Large to ensure a snug fit across varying weight classes.

  • Packaging Configurations: Sourced as a single individual unit (1 piece) for quick sampling, or in a full wholesale case containing 100 pieces (neatly pre-sorted into 10 convenient packages of 10).

  • Commercial Baseline: Distributed directly by Classic Plastics Corp starting at a manufacturing baseline of $5.45 per unit, with automated B2B bulk volume discounts and free shipping standard across the lower 48 states.

Chris Lowe
Chris Lowe
Managing Partner
"We found Classic Plastics after we learned the hard that way that ordering products directly from suppliers overseas took a lot of time and effort. We liked the option of being able to order any quantity that we needed - especially because of limited physical space. Shipping usually occurs the next day, and we receive our order just a few days later. The team is very easy to work with, and I highly recommend them."

"In the Public Safety sector, reliability isn't optional; our customers depend on us to have critical equipment available when THEY need it, not when IT'S ready. In that vein, The CP Team has proven time and time again to be a dependable partner - maintaining strong inventory levels and helping us confidently support the agencies and teams we serve."
